This is a post about my ideas for minecraft mods that i want to make
Jae's mod will be on version 1.21.1+.
Compatibility with other mods is not yet planned, but anyone making separate compatibility mods is welcome to do so.
The general theme of the mod will be farming and making minecraft a more survival focused game with less of an endgame, while expanding some magical aspects of the game.
The main goals of this mod are to:
The first versions of the mod will be experimental and made for me to figure out how modding works. The absolute first verison of the mod will include a couple new recipes that can be made with vanilla food items. The order in which the other updates come in is not yet decided, and will be decided later. The list below is just a skeleton of a roadmap.
This will be the first major content update for the mod.It would add a couple crops to the game that could be farmed just like any other. Custom recipes for food would also be added along with this.

This update will add a variety of wild foods that can be harvested and crafted into various food items. Some of these will have a chance of dropping a variety of seed which can be cultivated and grown on a farm, while the rest can be grown on a farm from the beginning.

Along with these, the mod would add birds nests, the placement of which depends on which biome it is in. These nests give the player eggs that they can use in crafting and cooking food.
This update will add a whole new way of growing mushrooms and give them more uses in cooking. It will also add a few more mushrooms to the game.
Mushrooms will now drop spores upon being harvested. These spores can be used on a new mushroom starter block, crafted using wood, dirt, bonemeal, and rotten flesh. This block provides a controlled environment where mushrooms will grow predictably. Mushrooms will grow in stages. The first two stages, after the first one, are when mushrooms can be harvested to get more mushrooms than spores, while the two later stages are when mushrooms will drop spores, and drop more spores than mushrooms when harvested.

The truffle is the only mushroom that cannot be grown on a mushroom starter. Instead, truffle spores have to be added to certain tree saplings that can host this fungus. After that, the truffles can be brushed from the dirt around a tree. To make the finding process easier, one can feed pigs with a special food that will make them lead you to the block that has truffles in it.
This update would add the custom cooking system to the mod. This system would let you cook meals using pretty much any ingredient. The saturation and hunger satiation depending on what quality ingredients were used and in what quantity. Additionally, there will be different types of cookware in which you can prepare these meals. The most basic ones being the pot, the pan, and the jar. These need to be put on top of a stove or campfire if they are to be used for cooking. The cookware can be crafted using copper or iron.
The stove has to be powered either like furnace, using fuel, or with a fire/fireplace below it.
